Vida Spa - The Westin Bayshore
I visited Vida Spa this past weekend, and had a really great experience. I had a therapeutic massage with Jose that was one of the best I have ever had. If I lived in Vancouver, I would 100% book in with him again. I also was lucky enough to have my first real facial with Nicole which was incredibly relaxing & hydrating!

Everything was amazing. Went to Vida for a my first ever facial and it was quite possibly the best thing ever. I originally had booked the teen facial but after looking more at my skin my esthetician decide to do a more intense brightening facial instead. The treatment room and facial bed were so cozy and I was relaxed the whole time. My esthetician, Nicole was so nice and performed such a relaxing facial well giving me some great tips for my teen skin. Going into the facial I was nervous about extractions but they were virtually painless and Nicole is a total pro. The whole experience was awesome and I left feeling so relaxed with my skin glowing. The one thing I wish I was told was what brand of products were used because everything felt and smelled so good. Thank you for a great first facial!

A location that advertises RMT yet does not staff accordingly in high season in a community that is full of RMT practitioners is unacceptable for both the hotel brand and spa prospective guests. Don't plan your travels at this iconic hotel IF you seek spa services until you actually call this spa to see if they actually staffed the place accordingly. False advertising RMT's should be a primary core of business and no excuses for no staff or just give the contract to a deserving spa that represents the hotel brand as a destination with services.

It is absolutely repulsive that Vida Spa feels the need to bully paying clients for simply sharing their very real experience and it is disgusting that Allison, specifically, routinely gaslights us in order to avoid taking accountability. While my friend and I visited Vida Spa on August 24th and left with a terrible impression, we have tried countless times to settle the matter privately despite having left with a water damaged phone and having paid $600 in total. If a free treatment is what we were after, do you truly think we would have bothered to pay after seeing the damage instead of arguing right there and then? We chose to respect the integrity of the business and to address the matter privately rather than causing a scene at the place of business. After well over a week with no response and all our evidence ignored, we finally decided to bring the matter to public light and now we are once again having our voices silenced under the false accusation of “bullying businesses”. Allison, as students who have felt the very real struggle during the pandemic, both with our studies and our employment in a geography where the effects are much greater than Vancouver, it is tragic that you choose to victimize yourself. It is very unfortunate that you use your seniority to maliciously exploit us and to twist our words and the truth. While Allison has the time to make bold claims and false accusations, she coincidentally will not take the time to discuss the matter with us and told us that “there really is no further conversation to be had” before we were able to truly converse. All of this could have been avoided, but with the responses we have been getting instead, it is blatantly obvious that Allison is the true bully here. INDIVIDUALS NEED TO TAKE A STRONG STAND AGAINST SUCH BULLYING AND AGGRESSION, EVEN WHEN THEY FEEL THEIR VOICES WILL ALWAYS BE SILENCED (and by the president, nonetheless).Specifically wording your response to say that the phones were placed at opposite ends of an 8 foot counter is highly misleading. While the counter may be 8 feet long, it had 2 separate sinks and the phones were placed no more than a foot away from each sink as this is exactly where we picked up our phones from. While you say “the phone looked as if it had been submerged in water”, when did you actually see the phone? You were not there that day. The only employee who saw the damaged phone after the treatment was the receptionist, who saw it after my friend had already dried off the exterior. Do you really think he would just allow the water to remain on the phone? Although I know protecting the company may be your priority, your logic is severely flawed. If you disagree, please enlighten me with how you formed that conclusion.Furthermore, having worked in the service industry (perhaps not as long as Allison), I may not know as much, but it is common knowledge that empathy, professionalism and tone can be the differentiating factor between a positive and a negative experience. It is unfortunate that the representative of a client-facing organization like Vida Spa lacks these traits and I only hope that more training and emphasis is placed on how to treat their clients. Allison, whether you choose to respond or not, I implore you to review the security footage first (this will clear up a lot of confusion on your end), avoid making false accusations if possible and consider the qualities and traits that a good leader and representative of a large organization should embody. As of right now, I can only say that it is unfortunate to be bullied by the president of a corporation that promotes treating your mind and body because the only manner in which we have been treated is sickening.While future clients may not experience property damage, in the event of any incident, know that Vida Spa will not take accountability and will instead, accuse you of bullying, aggression and fabrication. What an interesting business strategy in the face of these unprecedented times.

Hotel pool guests share the same change room/showers/sauna/general area as the spa guests which resulted in loud children and a busy atmosphere. Wasn't an issue for myself but could see this being annoying for some. Showers were not clean. Body wrap and exfoliation were very nice; massage was alright.. have had better. Reception staff acted as if they had better places to be and had their own personal conversation going on during the time I was checking in and checking out. Wasn't asked about how I liked my treatments and was sent out without a thank you. Was completely disappointed with this place.

Wonderful service & staff. My manicurist Catherine was genuinely friendly and we had a really nice conversation. Went with her suggestion for a long lasting polish and ONE WEEK later-- they are STILL perfect. Seriously-- gel quality but with regular polish. WOW! My ayurvedic massage was great (be advised there is a LOT of oil). I can't wait to come back to Vancouver and visit this spa. Thank you so much!

I had one of the most amazing massages ever by Villiam! He is thorough and clearly knows what he is doing. I have had a lower back injury from whiplash for 20 years and he worked on the area in a way no one else has, and I’ve had a lot of work done on it! He came back in the following morning to give me a second treatment, even though he was not scheduled (I was flying out that day) and his follow-up helped even more. I am now injury-free and this was 4 months ago! He has a background in physiotherapy from outside of Canada - that mixed with his massage training is the perfect combination!I highly recommend Villiam, and my experience of being at Vida spa was also very positive. Relaxing and serene with helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely return the next time I am in Vancouver.

Vida Spa - The Westin Bayshore
Oh my goodness, we had a great time! Despite COVID-19, we saw no other guests and it was easy to ensure social distancing and still relax in a quiet and peaceful environment. I had Haruka take care of me and she was fantastic, so sweet and kind, allowed me to relax but also had a nice chat with her. Very personable and skilled at her work. Love my nails and I feel so relaxed!! I'd definitely be back and ask for Haruka again!!

I have had various treatments over the years at this place, so I am confident in saying after today's massage that Vida spa is outstanding. All my tight muscles get loosened just with the right amount of pressure. Gabi listened to my areas of concern and seemed genuinely interested in addressing each one. She even showed me some stretches after the session was over. I highly recommend Vida spa!
